Former President Donald Trump is facing backlash after posting an AI-generated video on Truth Social showing Barack Obama being arrested by FBI agents — a move many are calling provocative and bizarre.
The video, shared on July 20, features altered footage of Obama being taken into custody in the Oval Office, following clips of U.S. leaders, including Obama and President Biden, stating that “no one is above the law.” It ends with Obama pacing in a jail cell as “YMCA” by the Village People plays in the background
The post appears to be a reaction to an interview with Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who, on Fox News, accused Obama of orchestrating a “years-long coup” to block Trump’s presidency, citing newly declassified documents from July 18.
Trump reposted segments of Gabbard’s interview, including her claim that Obama’s alleged actions were “treasonous.” But the AI video sparked stronger criticism, with one X user writing, “Trump just posted a video of Barack Obama being arrested. This isn’t leadership — it’s a distraction from the Epstein files.
